Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene...I'm a pretty girl who was discovered on a rural property in Lyle with my kitten two months after a new owner moved into their home. I was scheduled for TNR, but they couldn't get to me until November. During that time, however, I became pregnant. I gave birth to six kittens on October 26; only four survived. My kittens and I have country western song theme names - My name Jolene comes from the Dolly Parton song. I've been protective of my kittens and have been an attentive mother to all of them. My oldest girl, Kitten, was like a second mother to them as well. I am litter box trained, like washing my paws in my water bowl, and I eat wet and dry food on a cookie sheet. I love petting, especially chin rubs. With encouragement, I will sit on your lap. You may pick me up, but don't be surprised if I get squirmy! Since my younger kittens have been gone, (adopted) I have mellowed quite a bit. I am not a demanding cat at all. I am very food motivated and rub up against people's legs or sit by their feet if I want a treat. I am a grazer. I'd love it if you'd leave food out so I can nibble throughout the day. I enjoy catnip toys and those that roll, jiggle, or chirp. I like wand toys too. I relish lounging on a straw mat, being up high on a cat tree, looking outside a window, and sleeping on a comfy couch or chair. I'll make a great companion for someone seeking company and affection. I don't meow, and according to my foster mom, I use my voice to "chirp" when talking to my girl Kitten. She's still my baby, and she relies upon me quite a bit. We'd love to be adopted together.
