Viewers of "A Game of Thrones" will probably recognize the name Arya Stark. I am a 6 1/2- year-old kitty named Arya. I was released to Paws and Claws because of inappropriate behavior toward another cat and toward a young child in my home. I like people a lot, but I get nervous and upset in some situations, and I was returned because I had some inappropriate behaviors. I don't act out of meanness or spite, but out of instinct, fear, and self-protection. I may feel overstimulated or startled by sudden movements, noises, or mishandling by someone like a child or even another animal. Or I may feel that I need to protect my territory or my personal boundaries. That's an instinct that animals have, even humans. Young children should always be supervised by an adult. I would do best in a home with adults and with older children only and probably as an only pet. The character Arya on "A Game of Thrones" said it best: "A bruise is a lesson, and each lesson makes us better." Meow. I am a sweet girl who loved being with my people. I am an affectionate, cuddly girl who liked sleeping with my person. I am independent, and I like playing with toys. I had been eating Friskies canned food in my home. I want to be better. I want to be someone's beloved, beautiful Arya. Will you give me a chance to be your girl?
