Have you ever felt this way: "Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong." (Author/blogger Mandy Hale). I'll bet some of the animals here feel that way, at least at first. I know I did, especially the first two days. I'm Ida, a lovely mama cat estimated to be 2 years old. I was found somewhere on West Center Street back on March 2nd and went to a foster home because I was very pregnant. Two days later, my six kittens were born. I was protective of my babies and was quite stressed because of all the changes in my life. I adjusted, but coming to the shelter was difficult at first. I am gradually settling in and beginning to take pleasure in being petted. I even rub against people to ask for attention and have begun playing a bit. I will need an experienced, cat savvy adopter who can read my body language because I tend to become overstimulated. Once I know that I am loved and that I truly belong, I will show you how much I love being your incredibly adorable, lovable Ida.
