Thank you, God, for giving me coat of gorgeous fur and for the ability to communicate with mews and purrs. Thank you, too, for saving me from winter's cold and snow. And Lord, you know that most of all, I wish for a happy home. I'm Kirby, an 8-month-old black and white male who was found with my brother, Lewis, in Columbia Heights. My name, Kirby, means "church settlement." Our finder would have loved to have kept us, but she already has five cats. I am a sweet, affectionate boy who likes playing with toys. Our rescuer fed us Purina Kitten Chow and Friskies paté. Both Lewis and I liked curling up on her lap, and we responded with plenty of purrs. You can pick me up and hold me too. Lewis is more bashful than I am, and I think we would really like to be adopted together. Once you get to know Lewis and me, I know you'll agree that your home is where Kirby and Lewis are meant to be!
