You girls and women named Teresa out there - did you know that your name comes from a Latin word, terra, that means "earth"? Nature lover extraordinaire, Jane Goodall, said, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you." For better or for worse. Thankfully, there are some wonderful humans out there! I am Teresa, a brown/orange tabby adult female. I am one of 18 "'T Cats'" who were abandoned in the parking lot of a boat store. We were crowded into two crates and left there. Happily, a rescue group brought us to Paws and Claws, so we are safe from the cold. We have shelter, food, and kind-hearted people looking after us, making a positive impact on the world and on us, especially. Like some of my friends, I am one of the nervous ones of the group. However, I like petting if a person comes up to me cautiously. If you're gentle and calm, I could purr for you. You'll be planting seeds of courage, and with time and patience, I can blossom and flourish. To the world you may be one person, but to one person - or to one cat - you may be the world.
