Tara: A sacred hill in Ireland. A Sanskrit word meaning "star." A female Buddha who helps others achieve enlightenment. Me? I'm a white and brown female cat called Tara. Someday I will overcome the mountain of my past difficulties and fear. I will honor the "bright star" - the rescue group who found me and my 17 cat companions . Then maybe I can bring joy and happiness to some wonderful person or family. A large group of us cats were abandoned in two crates/carriers in a boat store parking lot. The rescue group brought us to Paws and Claws, where we are being cared for by dedicated staff and volunteers. Some in our group are doing alright. Others, like me, are more wary and nervous, but we like being petted if we are approached slowly. Speak to me softly. Take your time, and I bet I'll respond and relax after a while. I'm a gentle girl who just needs reassurance and kindness. Then my light can shine through, and I'll be ready to be someone's Tara. Yours!
