With his unique tabby markings and big amber eyes, Tanner is a beautiful boy who loves to get your attention. Whether he is nuzzling up beside you or running to greet you as you arrive home, Tanner's happy place is right by your side!
ABOUT TANNER:
-In foster
-Senior, domestic shorthair/mix, male
-Tanner is a sweet, gentle, affectionate, purr-fect gentleman!
-He lets you know when he wants pets and cuddles, but please don't touch his belly!
-Friendly and curious, Tanner is an adorable social butterfly who welcomes any guest to the house.
-He loves to play, especially with a laser pointer, a cat tunnel, and a skill-testing treat puzzle to get a delicious snack.
-He really enjoys being brushed and looking his best!
TANNER'S IDEAL HOME:
-Tanner has a few medical concerns and his forever family must be prepared to administer his medication.
-Tanner has Stage 2 kidney disease, arthritis, spondylosis, and a potential heart murmur (with normal cardiac blood work). He eats a special kidney-support diet which he will need to continue for life.
-He also takes gabapentin (25 mg every 8-12 hours) for ongoing pain management, along with monthly Solensia injections for arthritis.
-Due to a persistent low appetite, Tanner receives an appetite stimulant daily.
-Tanner's friendly demeanour suggests he could potentially adapt well to a variety of household dynamics, but for now it's unknown if he'll interact well with other animals or small children.
-Tanner would do best in a household where he can receive ample love and attention as well as a second chance at the wonderful life he so deserves.
