Meet Mack, a super-chill, low energy, senior Rottweiler mix who weighs about 90 lbs. He's friendly with anyone who comes into the house, and also with all the little neighborhood kids who run screaming "Mack!!" to come pet him on his walks. ("Walks", meaning SLOW STROLLS, one or 2 blocks long, with LOTS of stops to sniff and graze on grass). On rare occasions you might see Mack actually break out into an all-out saunter, maybe even trot for a short distance! But he does still give little "hops" (where his front feet come off the ground a few inches) when it's supper time or walk time. Very food motivated. Unbothered by thunderstorms, loud vehicles, or rowdy teenagers. He's not too keen on other dogs, so he needs a home with no other dogs or cats. His old-age-arthritis makes it challenging for him to arise from slippery flooring (so we use no-skid rugs), and he can't do steps, so we have a ramp for him to get up the 3 steps into our home. He easily climbs the doggie ramp to get into the car. Mack still loves to play tug and has a few favorite chew toys. Sleeps on his pad in the kitchen (or in his crate) all day when foster parents are at work, and also at night (by the way, he's usually "down for the count" by 7pm. And he sleeps straight through until his 7am breakfast.)
