Finley is his name and snack time is his game! 3 months ago he joined the New Leash on Life Dog Training Program at Foothills Correctional Institution knowing how to sit and that's about it. After being shown excess and genuine love, Finley boy now knows a slew of commands such as, sit, down, stay, leash up, take a break (restroom), easy, wait, touch, and even a few more. He now has body handling acceptance, recall capabilities, knows where his place is (dog bed) and also plays and shares with his playmates. He doesn't resource guard from people and not with the other dogs either. Who says you can't teach an "old-er" dog new tricks. He was once severely head shy but is now one of the most outgoing dogs you'll meet. He gets nervous when you throw toys his direction but if its food, he'll catch it every time and will do anything for a treat! Just a little TLC is all it took. He is a great candidate for a family that is semi-active.
