Hi, I'm Drea, and I'm a sweet, spunky girl who is discovering just how wonderful life can be!
When I first arrived, I was pretty shy and unsure of everything around me. But every day, I'm coming out of my shell a little more. Once I feel comfortable, I'm all about my people. In fact, if you sit down, don't be surprised if I try to hop right into your lap! I'm gentle, affectionate, and I have such a sweet attitude.
I'm learning that toys are pretty awesome, too. It seems like I didn't have much experience with toys before, but now I absolutely love having my own toys and blanket. I may occasionally pull the stuffing out of a toy, but hey, I'm just learning how these things work!
I'm also discovering how much fun it is to have a doggy friend. I can be shy around other dogs at first, but I've really warmed up to my 8-month-old canine friend and am even starting to initiate play. I'm still learning how to interact with other dogs, and I'm a gentle girl who takes things at my own pace.
I'm already house-trained, love my crate, and know "sit." I walk pretty well on a leash and am getting better every day. I do get very interested when I spot a squirrel, though, and I may need a little help remembering that my person is more important than my next great squirrel adventure!
I have a playful little personality, too. I love hopping off the last stair when I head outside, stretching out and rolling around in the grass on a sunny day, and enjoying time with my people. I'm still a little shy in new situations, but my confidence is growing every day.
I've seen cats and have been around them through a crate and while passing by them in the house. I'm curious about them and may whine or pull toward them because I think they might be fun to play with, but I haven't had enough interaction with cats to know exactly how I feel about living with them.
I'm a wonderful girl who is learning, growing, and discovering new things every day. I have so much love to give, and I'm looking for someone who will be patient with me, continue building my confidence, and show me all the adventures life has to offer. Whether we're lounging around the house or heading outside for some fun, I think I could be your perfect companion!
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
