Hi, I'm Leo...but my friends also call me Leroy Jenkins!
I may be 12 years old, but don't tell my legs that! I'm young at heart and still have plenty of energy for adventures. Whether it's a hike, a game of fetch, or a long walk, I'm always ready to join in. And when we've had our fun, I'll happily curl up beside you on the couch because being with my people is my favorite place to be.
I'm housetrained, crate trained, and have great manners around the house. I don't tear up toys or other things, I walk nicely on a leash, and I even know commands like sit, stay, and shake. I'm friendly with men, women, children of all ages, and I enjoy meeting new people. I've lived successfully with both a big Lab mix and a tiny Yorkie, so I know how to be a good canine companion.
I'm a loyal guy who takes watching over my family seriously. On walks, I like to keep an eye on my person and make sure we're both safe. When I have the chance to run in a secure area, you'll see my playful side come out as I stretch my legs and have the time of my life. Because I love to run, I'll need a family that's careful about doors and gates so I don't decide to go exploring on my own.
I like to keep myself looking handsome, too-you'll often catch me giving myself a good bath! And while loud fireworks aren't my favorite, a simple vet-prescribed medication helps me stay calm when the booms begin.
I've enjoyed a comfortable life, and I could stand to lose a few pounds, but with regular walks, playtime, and a healthy routine, I'll be feeling my best in no time.
If you're looking for a loyal best friend who still has plenty of adventure left to share but also appreciates a cozy night on the couch, I think we'll make a wonderful team. I have years of love, laughter, and companionship left to give, and I can't wait to spend them with my forever family.

My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
