Hi, I'm Persephone-pronounced Per-SEF-uh-nee, although my friends sometimes call me Percy Phone! I answer to both, especially if treats are involved.
I'm a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to cuddle. My favorite place to be is curled up right next to my person for a cozy nap after a day of fun. Don't let my snuggly side fool you, though-I have plenty of energy! I love playing tug-of-war, zooming around the yard, and exploring the world on walks. If you hear me talking, don't worry-I just have something important to say! I'm a vocal girl who isn't shy about sharing my opinions.
I'm incredibly food motivated, so treats are the quickest way to win my heart and will make training lots of fun. Right now I'm still learning the basics, including house training, and I don't know any tricks yet, but I'm eager to learn with someone who will be patient and consistent.
I love meeting new people and get excited to make new friends. Once I know you, my sweet personality really shines. I've never met children, cats, or large dogs, so slow introductions would be best if my new family has them. Around small dogs, I can be a little vocal, and at mealtime I think everyone's food looks better than mine, so I eat happily in my crate. Speaking of my crate, I actually love it, even if I sometimes let everyone know when I'd rather be out with the action!
I'm also a bit of a toy enthusiast...meaning if it has stuffing, I consider it my mission to find it! I can get possessive of toys, so I'll do best with a family that can help me continue learning good manners and provide plenty of durable toys to keep me busy.

If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
