If you're looking for a dog who loves pretty much everyone and everything, I might be your guy. I'm friendly with men, women, kids, big dogs, small dogs... honestly, if it has a heartbeat I'm probably interested in being friends with it.
I've got a playful side and enjoy spending time outside, but I also really love attention from my people. If you sit down, there's a good chance I'll wander over for some pets and maybe sneak in a few kisses if I can get close enough.
I walk well on a leash and like to stay close while we're out together. I already know "sit," "kennel," and "potty," and I'm working on the rest of my good-dog education. House training is still a work in progress, but I'm getting the hang of things with consistency.
I love my crate and go in when asked, which makes life pretty easy. At mealtime I get excited, and treats are always appreciated - I take them gently, though, because I have good manners.
Now for a little honesty: I have some talent when it comes to escaping if something isn't secured well enough. Think of it as curiosity mixed with determination. Because of that, I'll need a home that keeps an eye on doors, gates, and opportunities for adventure.
Like many dogs, I enjoy toys, especially the kind with stuffing. Removing that stuffing is a hobby of mine.
I've done great with friendly dogs of all sizes and even seem to like the little ones best. I've met all kinds of animals but I'm not sure about cats yet. When I first meet someone I might bark once to say hello, but after that I'm all friendliness.
Mostly, I'm just a happy, affectionate dog who enjoys company, playtime, and being close to my people. If you're looking for a playful companion who will happily follow you around and keep life interesting, I think we might get along just fine.
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
