Hello there... the name's Stanley.
I'm what you'd call a distinguished gentleman-graying in all the right places, a little slower than I used to be, but full of heart and quiet charm. I've been hanging out in my foster home for a few months now, and they've learned something important about me... I still know how to enjoy the simple things in life.
Give me a squeaky toy and I'll show you I've still got a playful side (don't be surprised if I toss it around like a puppy). Sometimes I even catch myself chasing my own tail-old habits die hard, I suppose. But after a bit of fun, I'm happiest stretching out for a good, cozy nap. I've earned that part.
I'm a friendly guy who gets along well with other dogs-big, small, male, female-you name it. I haven't met any cats yet, so that's still a mystery. I'm also a polite housemate: fully housetrained, crate trained, and I don't go causing any trouble when left alone. No anxiety here-just a steady, easygoing presence.
I love being outside, feeling the breeze, and taking life at my own pace. And if you have kids? That's just fine by me. I'm gentle, calm, and happy to be part of a family.
Now, I won't pretend I'm perfect-I do shed a bit. Alright... maybe more than a bit. Think of it as my way of leaving little reminders of me behind.
What I'm really looking for is a soft place to land. A home where I can enjoy my golden years with someone who appreciates a loyal companion, a quiet soul, and the occasional burst of playful energy.

My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.

Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
