Hi, I'm Morty, and I am a Priority Pet! I have Megaesophagus.
Megaesophagus is a manageable condition where a cat's esophagus (the tube that moves food to the stomach) doesn't push food down as efficiently as it should. Some cats may "spit up" food or water after eating, so they do best with a simple routine-typically smaller meals, the right food texture, and sometimes eating in a more upright position [I have a cool feeder]. With a little consistency and guidance from your veterinarian, many cats with megaesophagus can still thrive, feel good, and enjoy a happy, comfortable life in a loving home.
As a Priority Pet, Pawmetto Lifeline is offering FREE basic medical care for LIFE!
That includes:
Annual exams for life at Pawmetto Lifeline
Core vaccines for life at Pawmetto Lifeline
Cost of medications plus 10% (*excludes HW/flea prevention) through Pawmetto Lifeline
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If my bio shows "Spay/Neutered" with a checkmark, I have already been altered; if you do not see this listed, my surgery is still scheduled and a refundable spay/neuter deposit will be required, which will be returned within 24 hours after my procedure is completed.
If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.
Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you're welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we're closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays.
