Weight: 23 pounds.

Health: Nothing noted.

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, playful, social, curious, vocal.

Dislikes: Nothing noted.

Manners: Housebroken, crate trained, leash trained, uses a doggy door. Verbal commands: Sit & Come (when he wants to!).

Home environment: Would benefit from a fenced yad but not required; suitable for apartment/condo living, enjoys an active household.

Tidbits:

If you're looking for a companion who is 90% "Good Boy" and 10%"Food Detective,", look no further than Blitz! At 11 years old, Blitz has perfected the art of being a sweet, easygoing housemate, though he still has plenty of mental fire to keep you on your toes.

The Highlights:

Blitz gets along wonderfully with other dogs. True to his breed, he can be a little "pushy" during play, but he's a total gentleman. if another dog isn't interested, he takes it in stride.
Blitz is well housetrained. He is generally a reliable roommate who knows the routine and won't chew on your furniture.
While he isn't looking to run a marathon, Blitz is a mentally active dog. He craves a daily "sniffari" walk to explore his environment and loves puzzles that challenge his brain.

Blitz is a world-class foodie and a true personality. A few things to keep in mind:

Boredom Busters: When he hasn't had enough mental stimulation, he might bark for attention or get "grabby" with hands or pant legs. A quick outdoor break or a puzzle toy usually gets him back to his sweet self.
The Grocery Rule: Never leave shopping bags on the floor unless you want Blitz "helping" you unpack! He will find whatever is edible in a plastic bag and tear it open.
The Hunger Clock: He is a vocal advocate for dinnertime and may start his "reminders" a few hours early.
Marking: While he is potty trained, he can occasionally be tempted to mark indoors if there is another male dog in the house. A consistent routine (and maybe a belly band during the transition) helps him stay on his best behavior.

The Ideal Home:

Blitz would thrive in a home where people are around to interact with him. He'd love a family that understands that senior doesn't mean boring. If you like to take walks, have a puzzle toy ready and don't mind a dog who tells you exactly when it's time for kibble, Blitz is ready to be your new best friend.
