***** SPECIAL NEEDS *****

A warm welcome to our newest rescue, Meg, a Frenchie with a lot of personality and a big, affectionate heart. She does, however, have a congenital birth defect that makes her incontinent. There is no surgery to correct it so Meg will wear diapers for the rest of her life. As her foster mom says, "Meg and diapers are a package deal." She also says Meg is well worth it. Learn more below:

Age: 2 years old

Weight: About 20 pounds

Health: Congenital defect causing incontinence but otherwise healthy

Demeanor: Very affectionate and sweet; timid and shy at first; quiet/mellow; playful at times; couch potato; social; curious; submissive; cries when left alone

Likes: People (not tested with children); dogs; giving kisses; snuggling; being held; sitting in laps; going for car rides; belly rubs; sleeping in your bed

Dislikes: Hands moving under blankets; vet's office; sharing toys or food

Manners: Crate trained. Needs work on verbal commands, but is very trainable

Fenced Yard: Preferred. If not, she must be kept on leash at all times

Tidbits: Meg is a very sweet girl who, despite her disability, does not realize it. She's always been this way and knows no difference. She tolerates having her booty washed several times a day though she would rather not be in the bathtub, thank you very much. She will try to play keep-away when it is time for a diaper change/booty rinse, but she accepts it as part of her norm.

Meg likes to be outside exploring and chasing the other pups in her foster home, but ultimately, she just wants to be in the presence of her human in any way, shape or form. To Meg that means being petted, snuggled or given some head scratches. Throw in a few belly rubs, a cuddle in your lap or a nap together, and you've described her perfect day.

The thing Meg likes most aside from her people is food. Food, food, food! She's very food motivated and has a penchant for eating things she shouldn't like poop. She loves food so much that she shouldn't be fed with any other dogs as she won't politely share. When she goes missing in the house, you'll likely find her in the kitchen hoovering up any crumbs. She likes to assist with cleanup.

Meg gets the zoomies when she gets excited about something, but due to her back legs, she might do more of a zoomie skid. She does the zoomies most often when losing sight of her human. Meg can run, play, jump up and down just like any normal dog. Her slightly wonky back legs and diapers will not stop this girl!

When her human is not home, Meg spends her time locked in a bathroom, and although she would rather not be alone and does cry, she would probably also do well in a crate (with diaper on). Would not recommend unattended free range in the house for too long because sometimes her diaper contents have been known to escape... and rather than leave a mess, Meg will try to "help" clean it up.

Meg does snore, and loudly sometimes, but she sleeps in the bed and loves it! Luckily her human uses a sleep machine to sleep anyway so Meg just adds to the ambiance.

Meg would love to find her forever home with someone who is patient and kind and does not mind changing diapers and cleaning her booty several times a day. She would prefer someone who is home most of the time to be her personal scratcher/belly rubber/snuggle buddy. Meg tolerates her foster pup siblings but would likely love to be an only dog to receive all of her human's attention. She'd do fine with another canine friend as long as they don't get near her food.

Meg is a very sweet and special girl that deserves the princess life, and she will thoroughly enhance the life of anyone who meets and loves her! Apply here:
