Medical Hold - skin issues

And the "Jerky Owner of the Year" award goes to.... Drum roll... Frankie Boy's mom!! Congratulations! To be considered for this award, you must travel to another country and never return. Simply leave your pet with any available human and you're a contender! Ugh.
All said in a sarcastic tone as this is NOT the behavior of a loving owner. The good news is that Frankie Boy is adored in his foster home where he knows he's safe. Frankie is ready to be cherished and kept forever with a new mom, dad or family. Read on for more:

Age: 4 years old

Weight: 22 pounds

Health: Frankie has atopic dermatitis and alopecia throughout the body wall, tail base and tail. He is treated with silver sulfadiazine cream which is rubbed into his hairless areas. He is also bathed with MiconaHex+Triz shampoo. His hair is starting to grow back and is improving. His anxiety is very high, so he receives 50 mg of Trazadone in the morning and 25 mg at night

Demeanor: Affectionate; sweet; quiet/mellow; playful; high energy; playful; couch potato; curious; anxious; submissive; needs attention

Likes: People (children over 8-years- old); dogs (not tested with cats); playing tug-o-war and fetch; giving kisses and snuggling; sitting in laps; going for walks and car rides; getting belly rubs and baths; all kinds of toys; burrowing under blankets

Dislikes: Being left alone; unfamiliar surroundings; sharing food; being crated

Manners: Housebroken. Knows verbal commands: Sit; Stay; Settle; Come; Gentle. To ask him to go to another area or room, saying "go" or "leave" and using your pointer finger works

Fenced Yard: Required. He enjoys being outside to roam or sunbathe. He also uses a doggy door

Tidbits: According to his foster parents, when Frankie arrived, he changed their lives. He has been so patient and so well-behaved with their senior dog and has even taught her how to play. They say it's delightful to watch them interact. Frankie has his own giant, fluffy blanket that he loves. Katie, his foster parents' own dog, and Frankie love to snuggle in it together when playtime is over.

Frankie's two quirks seems to be his obsession with sneaking paper out of the trash bin to tear up, and swiping Kleenex and napkins off nightstands and end tables.

Frankie is an attention seeker, but so is Katie. Usually, Katie doesn't put up with much when fosters arrive, but she's been tolerant of Frankie (tolerant being the key word). Katie wants to be an only dog in the end otherwise Frankie would've already been chosen by his foster parents. In his next home, if there is another dog, it should be a non-alpha female. His foster parents also think he'd do best in a calm environment where someone is often home. If there are children, they should be 8 years old or older. No doubt a child who can throw a ball for Frankie would be a real treat (don't expect Frankie to bring the ball back, however. A little work though and he may learn to return it).
