***** NEW FOR ADOPTION *****
Look up the word "handsome." You'll likely see Mack as the example. He's not all looks though - he's got a terrific personality as well. Up front, we will tell you that he's been with a trainer to help him overcome some unwanted behaviors. He's been doing well, so well, in fact that he's now ready to be adopted. Only apply if you can continue to help Mack be the best boy he can be. Read on for more:
Age: 2 years old
Weight: 27 pounds
Health: Has a sensitive tummy but does well on fish or lamb food
Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, quiet/mellow, playful, social, curious
Likes: People, dogs, snuggling, being held, sitting in laps, walks, belly rubs, baths, stuffed/stuffless toys, treats
Dislikes: Nothing so far
Manners: Housebroken (will need retraining in new home), crated trained (must be a snug fit), leash trained
Fenced Yard Required: Preferred. If no fence, must be kept on leash at all times
Tidbits: Mack loves affection from people and playing with dogs. He enjoys getting pets and getting treats. He's super sweet and has done well in training. We want him to succeed, so it will benefit him to continue the training he's been getting in his new home. An explanation and plan will be given to his potential adopter. In training he has learned not to eat poop (he'd eat it until he got sick), marking in the house (houses seem new to him) and walking on leash. An new environment might trigger a relapse so it's important that his training be followed.
Mack is worth every ounce of energy to keep him on the path of excellence. It's always rewarding to help a dog bloom, and Mack is ready! Please apply here if you can provide Mack a wonderful home: https://btrnc.org/adoption/
