Please do not apply via our website. If you are interested in the following dog, contact Betsy at BetsysBostons@aol.com.

We are assisting Jett's owners in rehoming this AKC registered Boston (he is not in our rescue). He's a beautiful boy who loves adults but dislikes other dogs and children. Through a series of unfortunate events, Jett hasn't remained in one home, being moved to different family members for health reasons, moves, etc. He needs a stable, all-adult home where he won't be subjected to other dogs, cats, children or lots of loud noises. Please carefully read his details below to see if you can provide a special home for this special boy.

Age: 4 years 10 months

Health: Excellent. He may have an allergy to chicken; however, his current owners have started him on a new food, and he is taking a daily dose of Apoquel

Demeanor: Affectionate, sweet, playful, social, high energy (at times), couch potato (at times)

Likes: People (adults only or teens), snuggling, walks, belly rubs, burrowing under blankets, sleeping in your bed

Dislikes: Dogs, cats, children, strangers, vacuums, sharing toys or food, loud noises/voices, quick hands/movements, car rides (but improving), being left alone (but okay if in his pen). He is also triggered by the following (will bark or bite at the items): umbrellas, garden tools (rakes, gloves, hand tools, shovels), brooms, packing tape (the sound), hole punches, ladders, shower squeegee, etc.

Manners: Housebroken, pen trained, needs work on leash skills. Verbal commands: wait (for food), sit, shake, high five, down

Fenced Yard Required: Yes

Tidbits: Jett is happy with adults or older teens- male and female- but is not okay with infants or children. He will thrive in a calm, stable environment with consistent routines. Jett is loyal and protective of his family and eager to please. He is quite smart and is highly motived by food and affection. Jett enjoys spending time outside exploring and sleeping in the sun, so a fenced yard with enough room to run is required. A daily walk to burn off some energy and explore would be a plus. He also enjoys a soft blanket for naps and is happiest snuggled in bed or on a couch next to his humans.
