Hey there, I'm Ruckus - a 2-year-old certified sweetheart on the lookout for a family to call my own.
Don't let the name fool you-I'm more cuddle bug than chaos. Once I know I can trust you (which doesn't take long, promise), I turn into a full-on love sponge. I'll lean into you for affection, soak up every pet, and happily follow you around just to be near you. I've got a big heart-and, okay, a big body too-so I do everything with enthusiasm! When I first came to the GTHS, I was nervous, especially when separated from the dog I arrived with. But after a few days, I settled in and now go on walks solo like a champ. (Well, most of the time-I might need a little refresher if I'm adjusting to a new place.)
I'm doing really well walking on leash, gaining confidence with every step. I've also shown I can be polite around other dogs with proper introductions. I met a lady dog off-leash, and when she told me she needed space, I totally respected that. What can I say? I'm a gentleman.
As for cats-I haven't been introduced, so that's still a mystery. And with kids, I haven't had any formal testing, but I'm a loving guy and would likely do well with respectful kiddos, especially with a little supervision since I'm a big boy.
I'm ready to bring love, warmth, and maybe a little snoring to your home. I may take a minute to settle in, but once I do, I'll be your loyal, affectionate sidekick for life.
My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer and a microchip.
