Hi, I'm Bella - a 5-year-old sweetheart with a happy spirit, a smart brain, and a whole lot of love to give!

I'm the kind of dog who thrives on connection. I absolutely light up around people and love being included in everyday moments-whether that's going for a peaceful walk, enjoying some enrichment time, or just relaxing nearby while you go about your day. I walk beautifully on leash (really-no pulling, no drama!) and I'm super treat-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. I already know some basics, and I'm a quick learner when snacks are involved. I'm also a total toy enthusiast! I can sometimes be a little possessive with my treasures, but I'm learning to trade politely (pro tip: cheese is my weakness). With consistent guidance, I'm continuing to build great habits.

I recently had a short stay with a foster family who had wonderful things to say about me. My foster mom said I ran up to her car with excitement, even though I barely knew her-what can I say, I'm a people dog! I settled well at her house, loved hanging out on the deck, and even played gently with a ball she gave me-no guarding, no growling, just fun. She said I was calm and respectful and was easygoing during meals, never begging. I even took naps at her feet-because that's how much I love being close to my people. She noticed I can be vocal when I'm excited or unsure, and I did let out a big howl when a siren passed-hey, I've got a voice, and sometimes I like to use it! I also got a bit too curious about a moving car on our walk one morning, so continued leash manners and supervision near roads will help me stay safe.

My foster mom called me smart, loyal, and full of great habits. She said I was a "pleasure and a privilege" to host-and I'd say the feeling was mutual. I'm looking for a home where I can be your one-and-only pup. I get overwhelmed in close, unstructured settings with other dogs, and I haven't met cats yet. I'd do best with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect my boundaries and help me feel safe.

So, if you're searching for a loyal companion with a gentle heart, playful energy, and so much love to give, I might just be your perfect match. I'm Bella-and I'm ready to be your devoted best friend.

My adoption fee is $400 and includes my spay, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and microchip. If you'd like to meet me, come visit the GTHS between 12:00pm and 4:00pm, seven days a week. Their amazing Adoption Counsellors would be happy to tell you more about me.

Let's start our journey together-I can't wait to meet you!

With love,
Bella
