Meet Rowan!
Eight months old and ready to see what the world has in store! Rowan is a handsome boy with an adorable face and a whole lot of puppy adventures ahead of him. At this age, he's ready to learn, explore, play, and find a family to grow up with!
Rowan made his way to us from Alabama through our Shelter-to-Shelter Program in partnership with Bissell Pet Foundation. When Hurricane Isaias approached, Rowan and other animals were transported to shelters in safer areas. This helped protect the animals already in the shelter while making room for pets who might become displaced during the storm, giving them a better chance of reuniting with their families.
Now, Rowan is ready for his next big adventure: finding a forever family!
At just eight months old, he's at the perfect age to learn all the important things about being a great family companion. With patience, positive reinforcement, and plenty of practice, Rowan can grow into an amazing best friend. He's looking for someone to show him the ropes, help him discover the world, and make lots of happy memories along the way.
Rowan has done well in playgroups and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs who can match his energy. We're not yet sure how he would do with cats or children, so those introductions will need a little extra consideration.
