Hi, I'm Butter! I'm a special little guy with a big personality hiding behind my cautious first impression. My mom, Popcorn, and I were both on a euthanasia list, but thankfully we were given a second chance. I was the only kitten from my litter to survive, and that makes my bond with my mom especially important to me. She's my companion, my playmate, and my source of confidence-and I absolutely love having her by my side.

I'm FeLV+ and thriving, and because of that, I'm looking for a home where I can continue to live happily with another FeLV+ cat. My mom Popcorn would be my dream companion, since we already have such a wonderful relationship. We play together throughout the day, keep each other company, and generally make a pretty great little team. If you're looking to give two deserving cats a forever home, adopting us together would be incredibly special.

I'll admit that I can seem a little nervous at first. I'm not necessarily the kitten who will immediately run up and throw himself into your arms. But that doesn't mean I don't have a loving personality-it just means I need a little time to decide that you're trustworthy. Treats and toys are excellent ways to help me relax and show you my fun side. Once I'm comfortable, you'll see much more of the playful, curious boy underneath that cautious exterior.

I absolutely love playing with my mom, especially when we can chase and pounce together. Hanging toys are another favorite, and I'm always happy to investigate something dangling in front of me. I also have a serious appreciation for watching the world go by. Give me a good view through a doorway and I can stare out for what feels like forever, taking in every little movement. When the day winds down, I'm perfectly happy settling in for a catnap-and at night, I enjoy one of nature's finest soundtracks: the gentle chirping of crickets.
There's really only one thing I'd prefer you not do: carry me around. I'm much more comfortable keeping all four paws firmly on the ground. Let me choose when and how I interact with you, and we'll get along beautifully.

I'm also a remarkably observant little guy. I like to joke that I'm hypervigilant, because I somehow know when you're looking at me-even through a Ring camera! I'm always paying attention to what's happening around me. And if you call my name, I know exactly who you're talking to. Yes, I recognize my name and will respond to it, which is pretty impressive for a little guy who likes to keep tabs on everything.

My ideal home would be with another FeLV+ cat, and my mom Popcorn would be the perfect choice if you're able to give us both a home. I love having another cat to play with, and I benefit from the companionship and confidence a feline friend provides. I'm looking for someone who understands that I may need a little patience at first, but who will enjoy watching me gradually come out of my shell.
Being FeLV+ doesn't define who I am. I'm a playful, curious, observant little survivor who loves treats, toys, my mom, and keeping an eye on everything around me.

I've already been through more than a kitten should have to experience. Now I'm hoping for the chance to spend the rest of my life feeling safe, loved, and surrounded by the companionship I cherish. Maybe you're the person who can give me-and Popcorn-the forever home we've been waiting for.

A little bit more :
I am FeLV+, which means I have Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). It affects my immune system, so I may be more vulnerable to infections and certain illnesses. While some FeLV+ cats have shorter lifespans, many of us enjoy happy, comfortable lives for years with regular veterinary care, good nutrition, and a loving indoor home.
I can pass FeLV to other cats through prolonged close contact, such as grooming, sharing food and water bowls, or from a mother cat to her kittens. I cannot spread it to people, dogs, or other non-feline pets.
