Hi, I'm Lex, and I'm hoping my next home will be my forever home. After nine years with my humans, I was abandoned and ended up in a shelter, where I was understandably confused and scared. I'm a stable diabetic, and because of my medical needs, I was at risk of being euthanized. Thankfully, I got a second chance-and now I'm ready to show someone what a wonderful companion I can be.
I need insulin injections twice a day, but I promise they're much easier than they sound! My new family will need to be committed to keeping up with my insulin and routine bloodwork with a veterinarian, but once you get into a routine, my care is very manageable. I absolutely LOVE food, although my diabetes means I have to stick to two meals a day. I also love naps, catnip, toys, and, most of all, people. Give me some pets and attention and I'm a very happy girl. I get along with friendly dogs and most other cats, too. I'm a loving, easygoing girl who would make a wonderful addition to a home that's ready to commit to my medical needs. All I need is someone willing to give me the stability and love I deserve.
