Hi, I'm Miso - a big, beautiful girl with a big, beautiful personality. I started life as a stray, then found my way to Smittens back in 2024. As a kitten, I was shy at first but quickly became a chatty, affectionate sweetheart who adored cuddles, lap time, and string toys. All of that is still true... I've just grown into a more complex, wise, and wonderfully expressive version of myself.
I've been adopted and returned three times, and each time taught me something about what I need to truly thrive. My first home didn't have the right vibe for me or the other kitty I went with - we just weren't a match. My second adopter discovered they were allergic, which wasn't anyone's fault. My last return was for litterbox behavior, but I've had zero accidents since coming back to Smittens. So we're pretty sure that was another "vibe mismatch" situation. I'm sensitive to energy, and when something feels off, I show it.

I take my time settling in. A few days... sometimes a few weeks. During that adjustment period, I can be a little spicy - I'm not mean, I'm just honest about my feelings. Once I feel safe, though? I soften right up. I become the same affectionate, chatty, head-butting lovebug I was as a kitten. I'll sit in your lap, melt into your hands, and talk to you about my day.
Other cats? I'm reactive at first. I need slow introductions, patience, and space. But with the right approach, I can coexist very well. Dogs are okay too, as long as they respect my boundaries. Kids who understand gentle love are also great.
I'm not a "plug-and-play" cat - I'm a relationship cat. I bond deeply, I communicate clearly, and I flourish in a home that gives me time, stability, and understanding. If you're patient, kind, and willing to let me settle at my own pace, I will reward you with loyalty, affection, and a whole lot of personality.
