**Meet Ambien!**
Ambien is searching for a quiet, patient home where he can finally feel safe. Like many of the rats rescued from the severe hoarding situation, his early life was filled with uncertainty. Having to compete for food and resources-and often being bullied by other rats-has left him feeling most comfortable on his own.
Right now, Ambien prefers the peace and security of a space he can call his own. While it's possible that, with plenty of time, patience, and careful introductions, he may one day be willing to make rat friends again, his priority is simply finding a home where he can relax and learn that the world isn't such a scary place.
Ambien isn't asking for much. His favorite place is tucked away in a cozy hammock, where he can curl up and watch the world from a safe distance. And while he may be shy, treats are the way to his heart! A tasty snack is often enough to encourage him to venture out and take small, brave steps toward trusting the people around him.
Because of his past, Ambien is looking for:
* An experienced rat owner
* A quiet home with **no children**
* A home with **no predatory animals** (such as cats, dogs with prey drive, or ferrets)
* Someone who will respect his boundaries and let him gain confidence at his own pace
Ambien may never be the first rat to run up and greet you, but every little milestone-from taking a treat from your hand to choosing to explore while you're nearby-is a victory worth celebrating. If you have the patience and compassion to give this sweet boy the fresh start he deserves, Ambien is ready to find the safe haven he's been waiting for.
