Phoenix is a unique and quirky little dog who always keep staff and volunteers on their toes! He loves to go for long walks in the woods, but prefers to be carried on sidewalks and busier areas. He absolutely loves to play fetch, and will bring the ball back every time and gently drop it in front of you! Phoenix is very affectionate, but prefers touch to be on his terms. He also can be protective over objects he considers very valuable, especially cozy dog beds and certain stuffed animal toys. Phoenix needs an experienced dog owner who is willing to meet him where he is, understand his signals and respect his boundaries. He'll pay you back with a lifetime of love, fun and entertainment!
