Meet Gabe, a smart, affectionate boy who has a lot to say! Gabe learns quickly and already knows sit, down, stay, paw, and "up" (he stands on his back legs on cue). He's house-trained, crate-trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. He loves car rides, gives great belly rubs, and talks and sings when he's happy.
Gabe takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly loving and loyal. He communicates clearly when something bothers him, giving a warning growl before anything else, which makes him easy to understand once you know his signals. He does best with an adult-only or teen household with no young children, and he needs an owner who won't take away a chew once he has it or reach for his bowl while he's still eating. He's not food-aggressive over quick treats, just items he's actively working on, so no long-lasting bones for this guy.

Weighs around 22 lbs - House-trained & crate-trained. - Enjoys car rides - His previous owner stated he just ignores cats/is indifferent to them. He seems indifferent to other dogs while on the leash, but due to his food aggression, we suggest no other dogs in the house.
His previous owner wrote, "He alerts you to everything both inside and out. When petting him, he growls with enjoyment, but sometimes it's a warning. Don't pick up food or dish from the floor if he still wants it. He loves to cuddle on the couch and bed."
