Meet Luna! This 1-year-8-month-old terrier mix is about 45 lbs of pure joy, and yes, she's deaf, but someone clearly forgot to tell her that. Luna loves exploring, playing, cuddling, and being involved in absolutely everything. She's already got a head start on hand signals (sit, stay, down, eat, drink, and spin!), though she may or may not perform them on demand depending on her excitement level, and honestly, we respect it.
In her short life, Luna has sadly been adopted and returned to us several times. She was first surrendered as a 3-month-old puppy, then returned at 4 months old simply because she was deaf, and most recently because her owner received a cancer diagnosis. Through it all, she has remained sweet, trusting, and eager to connect, still waiting for the right person to see her for who she really is.
There's something really special about watching Luna navigate the world through body language, movement, and trust. She's the kind of dog who will thrive with patience, consistency, and someone willing to keep learning alongside her, because she is absolutely ready to keep learning alongside you.
