Caspian is a sweet 5-year-old Lab mix and a loyal boy looking for a patient family to call his own. Once he trusts you, he loves being with his people and enjoys playing with balls, tug toys, getting brushed, and even having his paws wiped. He knows sit, down, come, shake, and stay and thrives on a consistent routine.
Caspian can be shy with new people, especially unfamiliar men, and people with beards tend to make him the most nervous. When he's unsure, he may bark, growl, or show his teeth, so he'll need slow introductions and a family willing to let him build trust at his own pace. He's also a little timid in tight spaces and can be strong on leash, sometimes pulling or grabbing it during walks, but treats and positive redirection work well!
Caspian would do best as the only pet. He has never lived with cats and has shown reactivity toward other dogs. He has also never been left home alone, so he'll need a home that can patiently help him learn that being alone is okay.
With patience, consistency, and love, Caspian has all the makings of a devoted best friend. He's ready to find someone who will look past his worries, celebrate his progress, and give him the safe, loving home he deserves.
