Before, I (trapper/foster mom) start Momma Mia's bio, as it is long. You need to know she needs a quiet home, with no kids or other pets. She needs a human that has the time and patience to work with her so, she can continue to blossom into the loving house cat that she deserves to be.
Momma Mia' start of a new life began in February, thanks to Friskies Lickable push-up treats, when her I started befriending her, after she started coming in my yard looking for food.
Then, Momma Mia's life changed forever on June 11th. She along with 6 kittens were trapped and brought inside the house. She has been in my home from that day to October 22nd.
Momma Mia was an amazing mommy. After coming inside, I soon realized the 6 kittens were 3 different ages. So, she either stepped up and became a mom to kittens in need or she "kitten napped" them. Either way, she was an amazing mommy to them.
During the past 4 months Momma Mia has had huge milestones. She became a little more trusting and friendlier each day. July 17th, she purred for the first time; Aug 3rd, she rolled over and wanted her belly rubbed (which she loves); Aug 25th, she played for the first time; Aug 26th, she realized she likes to be brushed and have her chin scratched; Sept 29th, she climbed into my lap ( I was over joyed); Oct 12th, she gave me a nose bop ( happy tears flowing)!
Momma Mia, still hisses when someone new comes into her room, but normally if the person has a lickable treat she will come up to you.
Her safe place to hide/hangout in, is the cat donut (cattasaurus).
Her all-time favorite toys are ping pong balls. She grabs them with her paws and then will bat them back and forth with me. She will also, chase them around the inside of her cat donut and all around her room.
She spends a lot of time hanging out on the cat tree, looking out the window.
I believe a bathroom size room would be best to keep her in at first, unless you have an uncluttered room that doesn't have too many hiding places.
Friskies Lickable push-up treats will become your best friend. (Sam's Club online is the cheapest place to buy them) She also, gets Friskies and Temptations hard treats.
She is litter box trained.
She has been free fed Science Diet dry cat food and lickable treats morning/
night.
If you have any question's, please talk to Shawna in the foster dept and she will give you my email address. I will also, include it in her take home goody bag.
