Gilbert was picked up as a stray in the Town of Lysander and is a hulking 98 pound boy. We think he may be a Mastiff or Cane Corso mix, but are fairly certain whatever he is was mixed with a horse. Despite his large size, Gilbert is a cuddly and gentle giant. You can often find him at the shelter laying down in his kennel and gazing up hopefully at you when you walk by. Overall, we think Gilbert is a wonderful family pet who will just need some proper training to get a handle on his leash manners.
