Hello, my name is Vixen. I'm around 2 years old and have a bit of a story-one that the shelter staff can share more about when you meet me. To keep it brief, I was caught in a live trap and rescued with a catchpole, which kept everyone safe during my rescue. It was a scary experience, but I'm safe now and learning to trust again.
Despite everything, I'm actually a very sweet and gentle girl. I just need some time, patience, and a quiet environment to fully come out of my shell. I'm making progress with the shelter staff-they can pet me and leash me with minimal struggle. Walking on a leash is still a work in progress, but I'm trying! My kennel, with its cozy pillows and toys, is my safe space, and I don't mind the other dogs around me.
