A few words from the kind fosters who gave their time to help Sylva grow and become the best girl she can be:
We have had the pleasure of fostering sweet Sylva for the last two weeks. She has a giant heart and, if she had her way, would spend most of her days cuddling with you on a couch, bed- wherever, really, as long as you're there. Belly rubs are her favorite. She is incredibly loving and gentle with children as well. We have two and she let them pet, cuddle, scratch and hug her in all sorts of ways with a doggy smile on her face. She does like to be near her people, but we made huge progress with crate training and she is now able to sleep through the night in her crate. We've also made great progress on house training and are happy to report that she's 95% of the way there. Sylva can be a little uncertain at first around some men, but bonds deeply once she knows it's okay. One of our favorite things about Sylva is her indoor and outdoor "modes": indoors, she's a cuddle bug and couch potato, and outdoors she likes to turn on the zoomies, chase blowing leaves, and play ball with herself. In true Husky-mix fashion, Sylva loves to eat, play in, roll around in, and generally just mess with snow. And she doesn't mind a rainy day, though she is pretty scared of umbrellas. Sylva deserves a wonderful forever home, and we think she's more ready for one now than ever. Please set up a meet and greet with her soon at PHS!
