This cute boy is Ezekiel. He is an almost 2 year old pit bull. He was picked up as a stray, seemingly have been abandoned, with a swollen neck and a fractured skull. Ezekiel made a full recovery and is now a happy go lucky boy. He can be a little indifferent at first but once he warms up, he'll be your best friend furrever!
As much as I loved all the dogs that I shared time with yesterday, Ezekiel pulled ahead as my favorite. Granted, he had been running and playing in the outside pen before I walked him, so maybe that contributed to our leisurely saunter on the trails, but he has the biggest smile and a patient "sit" as he gently takes an offered treat. He came to the shelter with a cracked skull and a swollen neck- yet here he is obedient, inquisitive and still willing to love humans.
We love Ezekiel and his kind, resilient spirit.
