Phantom is a 2.5-year-old tabby mix who has been through some confusing times in his short life. He was originally adopted as a kitten and returned last year for having blood in his urine. We quickly diagnosed that he had crystals, so now he eats prescription food to keep them from forming. Because he is on a special diet, he can't free roam in our open cat rooms, so he's lived on his own since being returned and, as a result, has been reserved and a bit shy. However, he will quickly open up once given space and some patience. He is currently getting comfortable around people and animals again by exploring the shelter and socializing with visitors to the office. We have discovered he LOVES kids and makes us laugh once he starts being silly and playing. He loves being petted and will play calmly with other cats. He has seen dogs and doesn't have much of a reaction, but we always recommend slow introductions between new animals.
