Tank is a 7-year-old sweetheart with a playful spirit who is ready to find his forever home! Don't let his age fool you-this handsome guy still has plenty of energy and loves spending time with his people.
Tank is incredibly people-oriented and would much rather interact with you than play with toys. He loves attention, especially butt scratches, and happily accepts handling all over, including his ears, mouth, feet, and tail. He's highly food motivated, knows "sit," and is eager to please, making him a great candidate for continued training. Tank can get very excited around food and treats, so he'll enthusiastically snatch them if given the chance. He also has a habit of counter surfing and may fixate on food or other items you're holding.
Tank has done well with other dogs, but he does have some resource guarding tendencies around food and high-value items. We recommend feeding him separately from other pets and keeping bones and chews picked up unless he is separated. He would do best with a calm, compatible dog, and a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. Tank has also done well with children and has previously been noted to be house-trained and crate-trained.
