-Spayed female, 2 years old and 43 pounds.
-She is a pretty low key dog with small bursts of energy. She adjusts her play style to with resident dog. She will coexist with him, but will play if he initiates it. She does like to be near him for gentle sniffs/kisses.
-People pleaser, affectionate, easy going, loves a good lap to lie on.
-Would do best in a quiet house without younger children. She is scared of loud noises and fast movement. She should meet new people on her level or sitting down. She is fearful of people standing over her until she feels safe.
-She isn't a big toy player, but has two that she will play with occasionally. Not into bones or puzzle toys, but loves a frozen Kong treat. Working on playing fetch outside.
-She is housebroken (no accidents in the house at all). She doesn't chew anything in the house that's not for dogs.
-Very treat motivated and takes them gently.
-Rides well in the car - enjoys looking out the window.
-She is a work in progress at the park. She wants to pull towards every person/dog that passes us. She is not a fan of having runners coming towards her. Time, repetition and positive reinforcement her walks should improve.
-Not sure how she is with cats.
-No problems with resource guarding of food or toys.
Iris has been a pretty perfect house guest. A very low key dog that just wants to be loved. She is happiest snuggling up with her people and giving them lots of kisses.
