Meet Whistle! This sweet young boy is a cuddle champion, belly-rub enthusiast, and lovable goofball ready to bring so much joy to a home.
Whistle is friendly, outgoing, and happiest beside his people. He's a curious little shadow who wants to be included in whatever you're doing, especially if kisses and snuggles are involved! He knows "sit," takes treats gently, and is already housetrained in his foster home. He has also been eager to engage with the family's senior dog, Tucker, showing glimpses of his social, playful personality.
This loving boy has been through a lot in his short life. He arrived at BARCS with multiple fractures in various stages of healing and received surgery through the support of the Franky Fund. He is now two weeks into an anticipated eight-week recovery and doing well. His next family will need to continue his limited activity and simple physical therapy exercises while he heals.
Whistle is also practicing crate training. He may bark or whine when first confined, but he does settle and has not tried to escape. His fosters are helping him build positive associations with the crate through short sessions and encouragement.
