Meet Messua, a soft and sweet 1-year-old girl who is ready to cuddle her way into someone's heart! At 40 pounds, she is a lovely medium-sized companion with a gentle spirit and so much affection to give. Messua would love a family that will give her the patience and reassurance she needs to continue blossoming-and plenty of cozy spots where she can snuggle close.
Messua was very shy when she first arrived, but she has started coming out of her shell and showing everyone what a true lover girl she is. Although she may be a little timid at first, it does not take long for her affection-seeking side to appear. She loves leaning into her person for pets, curling up close for snuggles, and quietly watching the world go by beside someone she trusts. During a recent outing, Messua was given the chance to explore but decided that staying close and collecting cuddles sounded much better!
This food-motivated sweetheart is also easy to walk, and treats are a wonderful way to help her feel comfortable and build a special bond. She has a playful side too, and loves romping in the yard with her toys or showing off on the agility equipment. She especially loves fetch - so much that she'll pick up two balls at once!
Messua is already altered and ready to go home today. If you are looking for a gentle, devoted companion who simply wants to be near you, come meet Messua!
Messua would like to meet any doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match.
MVP Up to Bat! I'm a BARCS MVP because I can get a little too excited around other dogs. I also get very interested in small animals and might pull toward them on walks! I'm still eligible for dog socials at BARCS! Please come down to the shelter to get to know me better! I can't wait to meet you.
Every animal deserves a home run! BARCS MVPs are overlooked pets in the shelter. Thanks to the generous support of the Alonso, Basallo, and Bradish Baltimore Orioles families, all MVP animals have waived adoption fees AND will go home with a brand new leash and collar or cat carrier.
