Meet Breakfast Taco-two favorite food groups rolled into one handsome boy! This happy, silly, playful little guy is eager to please and loves spending time with his people. His former family reported that he is housetrained, and he has continued to show good bathroom habits at the shelter.
Breakfast Taco has been easy to handle and generally walks well on the leash, although he may pull occasionally when something catches his attention. He is attentive to his handler, takes treats very gently, and already knows "sit." His love of treats makes him an enthusiastic student who is ready to keep learning! He also appears unbothered by the other dogs he sees while out on his walks.
When it is time for some fun, Breakfast Taco happily hops onto the agility equipment-especially when his reward includes treats, pets, and plenty of attention. He absolutely loves his toys, and never passes up an opportunity for a cuddle session. He's an affectionate fellow.
Breakfast Taco had a fantastic Dog's Day Out with some volunteers, exploring south Baltimore and having lunch at the Baltimore Peninsula! This curious guy met some new friends, and devoured some Bmore Licks ice cream. Breakfast Taco was a calm, polite passenger in the car and a happy, go-with-the-flow pal for the day. On another outing he enjoyed a hike and even explored the water! He visited a pet store and loved exploring all the sights and smells. He saw a cat there and was unbothered...he was more interested in getting a treat from the humans!
Breakfast Taco had a great overnight with a volunteer and was a very polite guest! This energetic 4-year-old, 45-pound boy loves being with his people and was happy to tag along for the adventure. He enthusiastically hopped into the car and enjoyed taking in the sights, and he had plenty of fun playing fetch and showing off his impressive ability to catch treats midair. His Kong Wubba is a favorite, and apparently it's so comforting that he even fell asleep with it still in his mouth! He is also housebroken.
When left alone for brief periods, Taco was crated and did well overall, with some initial crying and barking before settling. Overall, Taco is a playful, affectionate guy with plenty of personality who loves being part of the action and is always ready for his next adventure-or a cozy nap with his favorite toy.
Breakfast Taco has doggie friends at the shelter and enjoys hanging out with them. He prefers polite dog pals, and would like to meet any potential roommates to be sure they are a good match. He is eligible to come back to BARCS for social sessions.
With his handsome looks, playful spirit, and people-loving personality, Breakfast Taco is ready to become someone's favorite part of every day! He is currently in the comfort of a foster home. MVP Up to Bat! I'm a BARCS MVP because I can be a little nervous when I'm alone or confined. I do best with gentle dogs, and while I'm shy at first, I warm up quickly! Please come down to the shelter to get to know me better! I can't wait to meet you.
Every animal deserves a home run! BARCS MVPs are overlooked pets in the shelter. Thanks to the generous support of the Alonso, Basallo, and Bradish Baltimore Orioles families, all MVP animals have waived adoption fees AND will go home with a brand new leash and collar or cat carrier.
