At 16 years old, Snowbear (or Snow Bee as his foster family also calls him) is a senior gentleman that isn't slowing down yet. He loves cozy naps, especially under a blanket, but he's also very social. When he wants attention, he'll come find his foster family and vocally ask for pets. He loves sitting on laps and purring the day away.

When the day starts, Snowbear comes running to greet his people in the morning before heading back to bed for a late morning nap. He'll spend the afternoon hanging out with his foster family or sitting at the window and watching the birds and squirrels outside. Sometimes he'll spend a little time playing with toys, especially a nice string wand. After dinner, Snowbear likes to get cuddled up on the couch with his people and watch TV. This sweet old man would make the perfect couch buddy for cuddly days.

While Snowbear's a very sweet, easygoing boy that loves people, he does still have his limits - primarily, he likes to keep all four paws on the ground and is not fond of being picked up or held. He'll happily sit in a lap on his own terms, but he'll wiggle his way out of any hold his foster family tries to get him in when they need to pick him up.

Snowbear has previously lived with children, and got along well with them. He's met the foster family's dog and doesn't seem particularly interested - and thankfully their dog doesn't seem particularly interested in him either, so they mostly just peacefully coexist. He has not met other cats. Overall, he'd likely do best in a relatively quiet home where he's allowed to coexist when he wants to. He also has excellent litter box habits.

As a senior, Snowbear's adoption fees are waived through our Love Lasts Forever program! If you're interested in meeting with this sweet senior man, fill out a foster adoption application and email catfosters@barcs.org!
