Meet Goulash, also known as GiGi, a sweet girl with a tender heart who is continuing to grow in confidence and show off her lovely personality! She can be nervous when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar situations, but with a little patience and kindness, she settles in and enjoys being part of the fun. Her foster recently took her to a park, where GiGi was thrilled to explore, run around, and sniff everything in sight. She also met some new people and was a very good girl!
GiGi enjoys spending time with her favorite humans and is always happy to have them nearby. She loves a good cuddle and has a playful, curious side that comes out when she gets to explore somewhere new. She has a nice balance of energy, enjoying opportunities to run around and investigate the world before settling in for some downtime with her people.
GiGi is doing well with her housetraining and has been comfortable when left alone. She's settling into a routine in her foster home and continuing to show that she can be a lovely houseguest. With consistency and a little encouragement, she'll be ready to keep building on these good habits in her forever home.
When it comes to walks, GiGi generally does well on leash, although she may pull occasionally when something catches her attention. Squirrels are particularly exciting and can be hard to ignore! She's otherwise been calm around the people and dogs she's encountered while out and about. One thing her future family should know is that she's still uncomfortable with the leash being brought toward her and may become uncomfortable during that process, even though she usually does better once it's on. She'll benefit from a patient approach and continued positive work to help her feel more comfortable.
GiGi is a smart girl who knows "sit" and "paw," and she's always happy to enjoy one of her favorite activities: chewing on a good bone! She especially loves taking her bones outside with her, where she can relax and enjoy some fresh air. Whether she's exploring a park, sniffing around the yard, or cuddling up with her favorite person, GiGi appreciates the simple things in life.
GiGi has met other dogs at BARCS and prefers gentle, respectful playmates. She's also done well around small dogs. Any resident dogs should meet her to make sure they're a comfortable match. She has no other pets in her current foster home, so her future family should allow for thoughtful introductions.
GiGi is looking for a loving home that will give her patience, reassurance, and opportunities to explore at her own pace. She's a sweet, affectionate companion with a curious side and plenty of love to share. If you're looking for a girl who would enjoy outdoor adventures, favorite chew bones, and cozy time together, GiGi could be the one for you!
