Meet Biscotti - a sweet, observant, and deeply affectionate boy with a heart as big as his cuddle skills. Biscotti truly believes there's no such thing as too close when it comes to his people - whether he's curled up beside you or wedged into your favorite chair, he's happiest soaking up every bit of companionship he can get.
In his foster home, Biscotti is fully house-trained and has maintained an accident-free routine. He settles in nicely when left alone, typically snoozing or entertaining himself with toys. He may give a little whine when you first leave and will alert bark if someone is at the door, but overall he relaxes well and handles alone time appropriately.
Biscotti is a smart, eager learner who genuinely enjoys training. He already knows a variety of cues including sit, down, stay, come, place, and wait - and his "stay" is especially impressive. He can hold position even when his person briefly leaves the room, proudly celebrating with a happy little spin and snuggles when released. He also loves interactive play and has been having a blast with musical toys, even learning to bring them to his mat when asked.
At home, Biscotti has a wonderfully balanced energy - relaxed and content indoors, with a playful, curious side that comes out during activities. He enjoys enrichment, toys, and spending quality time with his people. He's also been doing well with longer car rides, settling more quickly after a few initial minutes of excitement.
On leash, Biscotti is still building confidence. He may start walks with some pulling and high-pitched barking as he heads out the door, and he can react to other dogs, squirrels, or bunnies. However, he's able to settle into the walk once he gets going, and he's already making progress with a structured training plan and consistent guidance. He's a food-motivated dog who responds well to positive reinforcement, and his continued improvement is very promising.
With people, Biscotti is friendly, social, and affectionate. He has met adults and children and greets them with warmth and enthusiasm, making him an easy dog to love. His affectionate, "Velcro" nature means he'll thrive in a home where he can be close to his people and included in daily life.
Biscotti would do best with adopters who are committed to continuing his training and providing regular exercise, structure, and enrichment. In return, they'll gain an incredibly loyal companion who will keep them smiling and always be ready for a cuddle.
