Meet Red Panda - affectionately known as Whiskey! This handsome, copper-colored sweetheart has been melting hearts everywhere he goes. With his soulful eyes, goofy grin, and love of cuddles, Whiskey is the perfect blend of charm, smarts, and snuggle.
Whiskey's foster describes him as "goofy, affectionate, and endlessly entertaining." He's a total cuddle bug who loves being near his people - whether he's snoozing on the bed, leaning in for full-body hugs, or curling up for movie night. Inside the home he's calm and polite; outside, he's curious, alert, and excited to explore the world with a happy tail and bright eyes.
This boy is 100% house-trained and doesn't need a crate - he's a trustworthy gentleman who simply lounges on the bed when left alone. He's a quick learner who already knows "sit" and "down," and he loves puzzle toys, stuffed Kongs, and anything that makes him think. His energy level is medium to high: always ready for a walk or adventure, but also excellent at settling in for naps and cuddle time.
On leash, Whiskey walks nicely overall and checks in often, though squirrels are his weakness and can tempt him into a bit of pulling. He responds well to gentle redirection and is eager to please, especially if treats are involved. While out and about, he's charmed everyone he's met - including a group of teenage boys at the park who happily showered him with pets and praise.
Whiskey hasn't lived with other pets in his foster home, but based on his friendly personality and interactions with other dogs at BARCS, he'd likely do well with another polite, easygoing dog after a proper introduction. Whiskey requests to meet any resident dogs to make sure they're a good match. With his playful, enthusiastic nature, he'll thrive with an adopter who appreciates a dog who's both fun-loving and deeply affectionate.
Whiskey is truly the full package - house-trained, cuddly, smart, people-loving, and goofy in the best possible way. He'll make you laugh every day and love you with his whole heart.
