Stripe came to BARCS as a stray, and her finder let us know she did wonderfully with their young children (ages 1 to 5), showing her gentle, patient, and kind nature. At first, Stripe may be a bit shy-but she's not particularly nervous, just the type who likes to take her time getting comfortable. Once she's in the yard and the back pets and butt scratches begin, her sweet personality shines. Stripe absolutely loves attention, leaning in for more and letting you know she's all about those affection sessions. If you take a break on a bench, she will come sit in your lap on and just be happy looking around getting all the pets and booty scratches - which she absolutely adores!
When she's not soaking up love, Stripe enjoys exploring the yard at her own easygoing pace, taking in all the smells. The more time you spend with her, the more she opens up-within just a few minutes, she's ready to be your new best friend, full of love and wiggles. On walks, she struts with confidence and charm, bringing all the smiles with her wiggly style. Stripe also appears to be housebroken here.
Stripe has met other dogs at the shelter and does best with gentle, polite companions. She should meet any potential doggie roommates to ensure it's a good match. She's also eligible to return to BARCS for social sessions.
If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who will blossom into the most loving friend, Stripe might be your perfect match.
