Meet Bread Bowl-a sweet, friendly senior with a heart as warm as her name! This 41-pound cutie came to BARCS as a stray and was described as very friendly from the start. Now she's winning over everyone she meets with her gentle demeanor, playful spirit, and irresistible love of booty scratches.
Bread Bowl still enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a leisurely stroll with plenty of sniff breaks, followed by some well-earned cuddles. She's incredibly food motivated and already knows a few commands making her a fun and eager companion for anyone who enjoys a little training time mixed with affection.
Bread Bowl, affectionately known as BeBe, recently went on a sleepover with a BARCS volunteer-and she was an absolute star! She proved to be a fantastic passenger, riding calmly and quietly in the car. Once at home, she showed off her foodie side, happily enjoying peanut butter and unsweetened applesauce-two of her favorite snacks!
She walked very well on leash during walks around the neighborhood and had no accidents inside, showing that she's housebroken. BeBe also knows her basic commands, including "sit," "paw," and even "other paw." But what really stood out was her affectionate nature. She loves to cuddle up with her people and give sweet kisses. Her volunteer sleepover buddy described her as loving, polite, and full of heart. Bread Bowl is ready to bring all that love to her forever home!
She's also a social girl with other dogs-playful and friendly, but like any good matchmaker, she'd like to meet potential canine roommates first to make sure they're the right fit.
This sweet senior deserves a soft place to rest and a family to call her own. Come down to BARCS to meet Bread Bowl or one of her adoptable friends-you just might find your new best friend!
