Meet Drago, a 48-pound sweetheart with a wagging tail and a big heart! Drago is incredibly friendly and affectionate-he loves people and isn't shy about showing it. He'll happily climb into your lap, wiggling his head into you for pets and soaking up all the love you have to give. Drago walks pretty well on the leash and is easy to leash up. He might pull and zigzag a bit when first heading out, but once he hits the trails, he settles in and enjoys taking in all the smells. Sniffing is one of his favorite activities, second only to treats-because this pup really loves his snacks! He already knows "sit" and is eager to learn more, especially if there are treats involved. He also appears to be housebroken here at the shelter.

Drago recently went on a Dog's Day Out adventure to Patapsco State Park-and he was totally in his element! This outdoorsy guy loved exploring the woods, taking in all the sights and smells, and even got to share a hamburger with his human (which he very much appreciated). Drago was described as friendly, curious, and the kind of dog who's up for anything. He walked nicely on the leash, greeted strangers with kindness, and loved playing fetch during his outing-he's always ready for fun, especially if it involves running and a good stick or ball!

After a fun visit to Patapsco State Park, Drago got to spend some time relaxing at a volunteer's home-and his favorite part? Napping peacefully in the grass. Described as quiet, calm, and a bit shy, Drago is a gentle soul who loves snuggles and gives the sweetest kisses. And did you notice his irresistible underbite? His volunteer was surprised by how laid-back he is for his age, making him the perfect companion for someone looking for a mellow, affectionate buddy.

Drago has become a Dogs Day Out favorite, charming everyone he meets with his sweet personality and love for adventure. On his recent trip to Cromwell Valley, he enjoyed a scenic stroll and, of course, a pup cup - which he absolutely loved! His favorite parts of leaving the shelter? Treats, cuddles, and making new friends. Volunteers describe Drago as super sweet and an "extra good boy" who's guaranteed to make you smile and laugh with his joyful spirit. He may need a few minutes to warm up initially but quickly becomes loving and playful!

Whether it's a day of hiking or just hanging out, Drago is the perfect adventure buddy with a heart full of love (and a strong appreciation for hamburgers). If you're looking for a loyal, laid-back companion who enjoys the outdoors as much as you do, Drago's your guy.

Drago has met other dogs at the shelter, he is uncomfortable and requests to meet any potential doggie roommates to make sure they are a good match. Drago is eligible to come back to BARCS for social sessions to learn how to play with other dogs.

With his sweet nature, treat motivation, and love of affection, Drago is a lovable companion who's ready to find his forever home. Come to BARCS to meet this wiggly, tail-wagging boy-you might just find your new best friend!
