Tetra is a 2-year-old, medium-sized girl weighing in at 42 pounds-and she's overflowing with personality, charm, and affection. Already spayed and ready to go home today, Tetra has been stealing hearts with her joyful energy and sweet spirit. Whether she's rolling in the grass, taking in the scents of the world, or checking in with her person on walks, Tetra brings a fun, loving presence everywhere she goes. She knows her "sit," takes treats gently, and while she can be a little eager on the leash, she's easily redirected with a little guidance.

This curious girl recently had an amazing Dog's Day Out at Fort McHenry, where she walked a full two miles with ease and enthusiasm. Volunteers described her as affectionate, well-behaved, and an absolute sweetheart. Tetra soaked up the sunshine, greeted people along the way, and showed off her excellent leash manners. She's proven to be an ideal walking buddy-always up for an adventure but happy to stick close and check in with her human.

Tetra has quickly become a Dogs Day Out favorite, enjoying outings to Patapsco State Park, Canton Waterfront Park, and even Starbucks (where she devoured a pup cup with pure joy)! She's a true social butterfly, thriving on attention and connection wherever she goes.
Whether she's cuddling up on a bench, joining a café outing, or racing after a ball, Tetra brings endless joy and affection to every moment. During her visit to Patapsco State Park, she loved hiking and meeting new people along the trails. Tetra was described as a confident, happy, and well-behaved girl who loves to stay active and explore.

On a visit to Towson University, Tetra's friendly nature was on full display as she made fast friends with students and volunteers alike. Calm and cuddly in the car, she happily rested her head in a volunteer's lap and rolled in the grass with a huge, goofy smile. She walks beautifully on leash and exudes a perfect balance of playfulness and calm. With a curious mind and a loving heart, Tetra is ready to be someone's best friend through all of life's adventures-big or small.

Tetra is currently thriving in a short-term foster home, where she's housebroken, affectionate, and loves being near her people. She lives with a 7-year-old child and has done wonderfully, including sitting calmly and patiently during baseball practice. She's also been respectful and curious around the family's pet hamster (from a distance, of course!). Indoors, Tetra loves tug-of-war, fetch, and cozy cuddle sessions after a walk or playtime. Her energy level is a solid 7 out of 10-active and playful, but she knows how to settle down and relax, too.

Tetra has met other dogs at BARCS and especially enjoys playing chase with her favorite companions. She'd love to meet any potential doggie roommates to ensure a good match. This cuddle bug is full of love and ready for a forever home that will give her the affection, attention, and activity she craves.

If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and incredibly sweet companion, Tetra could be your perfect match. To meet her, please email dogfosters@barcs.org to be connected with her foster family.
